1.
Tonight we are the Dallas Cowboys We break bones to homogenize You can seek, I won't hide Legless birds drop eggs through the sky Born mid-flight, we must try Try so hard until we die Pay attention this will only be said twice Make your own glow, light up the night Fireflies beckon outside
2.
A fog of crickets on this not-so-quiet town. The bugs and cars are slowing down. The air in your eyes is getting thin. Just wash the smoke from your skin. And take dictation from the pacific ocean. Hear the sirens cry like sad strange birds. The ghosts can scream but seem unheard. Just keep your windows open, it helps with getting up in the morning. I will, even if my wings fall off. Even though I know they will.
3.
Dark Water 01:22
we'll make our way to the bottom of the lake to prove we're not afraid we'll sink and sink the marsh is on fire, the water is safe clean dark cold will help us sing we'll take a bath and we'll clog up the drain the scum is rising over everything
4.
I feel you across the town moving around in the water. My antennae can hear your sound. Thank you for calling.
5.
Never said you would not get tired. Never said it would all be nice. Saw you sittin up there in your window. Said we're only in town for a night. Take a leap from your seat fall down to the street and smile through the blood in your teeth and the mud on your knees what you need is complete just reach for me. I can promise we will get tired. I can promise it won't be nice.
6.
i will never not want to- run through town with holes in my shoes, the rain pours in and freezes my toes sleep with no blanket and bugs in my bed let a landslide of beetles into my head. travel every road. it will all be over soon. -i will never not want to.
7.
Remain 02:17
for you I'll go to the factory all day, as long as every night guitar to me you'll play. will you turn into a plane and fly away, or will you grab the ground like a tree and stay?
8.
tell the story once again, we'll take our time because it's ours. as the light begins to bend, stand so still and spread your arms. know this string will grow, as tired hands sew the strands right into place and young muscles will pull so hard and sing along to songs that echo from the caves. avert your eyes from turmoil and lights. you're not the last of your kind. i believe you. i feel the line from knot to knot and make it mine. don't worry about them. keep your eyes on your hands and your friends. avert your eyes from turmoil and lies. we're not the last of our kind.
9.
it's been a week since i've touched these strings. it's been a week since i've done just about anything. i don't know why the more time i have the less i try. i don't know why, but it's been about a week. the time traveler told me lies, there's no fighting the pull of the tides. you're watching the moon rise- i'm watching your eyes.
10.
Lightning 02:16
in the water in your swimming pool get out so fast, lightning reaches for you. thunder is coming down for you. now. it's coming soon. you will fail. (we can realize our dreams, that's the thing i've learned from this whole project. start from the concept, do the design, see your ideas being made. a little bit of determination but you can do it whenever you want. zoom up. let's go fly.)
